Located on the south Sipora peninsula, The Point Surf House enjoys nearly constant off-shore winds, ensuring excellent conditions for surfing. The area boasts some of the world's best waves, including the legendary HT's (Hollow Tree’s), known as one of the best and most consistent fast, barreling right-handers in the world, and Lance’s Left, a long, consistent left-hander perfect for all skill levels.
Within a short distance from the resort, surfers can explore a variety of amazing waves such as Cobras, Bintangs, and Monkeys, Mini HT’s and The Point, offering rippable walls, barrel sections and more mellow rides if that's your thing. HOW TO GET THERE
To reach The Point Surf Mentawai, you have several options:
If you're coming from the US or Europe, you'll likely start with a flight to a major hub like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Jakarta. From there, you'll need to catch a connecting flight to Padang on the island of Sumatra. Several airlines, including Air Asia, Sriwijaya Air, Garuda, Lion Air, Citilink, and Batik Air, offer flights to Padang.
