Novali Surf Retreat offers a tranquil escape with bungalows designed in a traditional Mentawai style, blending western and Indonesian interiors. Constructed from locally milled timber and driftwood, each bungalow includes hot and cold showers, drinking water dispensers, air conditioning, western-style toilets, mosquito nets, comfortable beds, safety boxes, power points, and surfboard racks.
Guests enjoy three daily meals featuring both western and Indonesian cuisine, modern accommodations with Wi-Fi, and a spacious bar with a pool table, darts, karaoke, and movies. The retreat provides daily surf transfers, fishing and snorkeling gear, and a surf lesson session. Additional services include airport pickup and drop-off, a motorbike for exploring the town, and various recreational options, ensuring a perfect balance of comfort and adventure for every guest.

For those seeking additional experiences, visits to the local school, fish and produce market, or a trek to the nearby waterfall can be arranged. The cultural immersion and natural beauty of Southern Mentawai ensure a memorable stay for all guests.
HOW TO GET THERE
To get to Novali Surf Retreat, you will first fly to Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) in Padang, Indonesia. You can connect via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) through Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), or directly to CGK in Jakarta. Once you arrive in Padang, our team will pick you up and take you to your hotel. We offer stay packages of 7, 10, 14 days, or longer.
There are two ferry options from Padang to the retreat:
1. The Mentawai fast ferry leaves Padang at 7 am on Fridays, arriving around noon, and returns from the island at 1 pm, reaching Padang around 6:30 pm.
2. The slow ferry departs Padang for Sikakap every Wednesday and Saturday at 5 pm, arriving the next day at 6 am. The return trips leave the island every Thursday and Sunday at 5 pm, arriving in Padang at 6 am the following day.
For a 7-day stay, you can choose the fast ferry both ways or the slow ferry both ways. The 10-day package uses the slow ferry for both trips, while the 14-day package offers the option of either ferry. We handle all transportation, including airport pickup, hotel transfers, ferry transfers, and return to the airport. For the Mentawai fast ferry, plan to arrive in Padang a day before and leave a day after due to its early departure schedule. Upon reaching the island, our team will transfer you to Novali Mentawai Surf Retreat, just 8 minutes away.
